How we built a Telegram-triggered automation that generates visa consultation articles in three languages, complete with images, in just 7 minutes, cutting down hours of manual content work.

One Key Visa helps international students navigate the complex world of US visa applications. Their expertise spans student visas (F-1), immigration consulting, university admissions, and everything in between. They provide comprehensive support from initial consultation through visa interview preparation.
But here’s their content challenge: they needed consistent, high-quality blog content to increase awareness and educate their multilingual audience. Their target markets speak English, Farsi (Persian), and Turkish, each requiring culturally relevant content about visa processes, university applications, and student life in the US.
The Pain Points
Manual content creation was eating up time. Writing one article in three languages, ensuring consistency across translations, formatting for web, finding relevant images, this whole process was taking hours per post. And with the need for regular content to maintain SEO and audience engagement, it was becoming unsustainable.
Lack of dedicated resources. Without a full-time content team, the responsibility fell on staff who already had their hands full with client consultations. Content creation was important but kept getting pushed aside for immediate client needs.
Inconsistent publishing schedule. When content production is manual and time-consuming, consistency suffers. They wanted to ramp up awareness through regular, valuable content but couldn’t maintain the pace they needed.
Solution: n8n Content Automation
The approach was simple in concept but powerful in execution: let the team trigger content generation with a simple Telegram message, then review AI-generated drafts before publishing.
Why This Approach?
Telegram as the interface made perfect sense. The team already used Telegram for internal communication. No new platforms to learn, no complex dashboards. Just send a message with the topic, and the automation handles the rest.
Draft-first workflow meant maintaining quality control. The system generates complete articles in all three languages, but everything goes to draft status first. The team reviews, makes edits if needed, then publishes. Automation handles the heavy lifting, humans handle the judgment calls.
n8n as the automation backbone provided the flexibility to connect WordPress, AI content generation, image services, and Telegram all in one workflow. Open-source, customizable, and powerful enough to handle complex multilingual logic.
Development Process
Week 1: Learning & Foundation
The first week was all about understanding the technical landscape.

Polylang Plugin Deep Dive
This was my first time working with Polylang, WordPress’s multilingual plugin. I needed to understand:
- How it structures language relationships between posts
- What the API payload structure looks like for multilingual content
- How to properly link translated versions of the same article
- How language metadata gets stored and retrieved
Reading the documentation was crucial here. Polylang has specific requirements for how you pass language data through the WordPress API, and getting this wrong would mean articles wouldn’t properly link across languages.
Farsi RTL Challenge
Here’s something I hadn’t encountered before: Farsi uses right-to-left (RTL) text direction and a completely different script (Persian alphabet). This meant:
- Text needed special RTL wrapping to display correctly
- Slugs had to stay in English (URLs with non-Latin characters are problematic)
- Character encoding had to be handled carefully to avoid garbled text
The solution? Implemented RTL-specific HTML wrappers for Farsi content while keeping all URL slugs in English, regardless of the language. This ensures proper display without breaking WordPress’s routing system.
Telegram Bot Setup
Built a simple but effective Telegram bot interface where the team could:
- Select the service category (Student Visa, Immigration, University Acceptance, etc.)
- Choose the target languages
- Add any specific focus points or keywords
Week 2: Iteration & Quality Enhancement
With the foundation in place, week two focused on making the output actually good.

Content Quality Iteration
Early versions generated content that was technically correct but felt generic. We iterated on:
- Prompt engineering to capture One Key Visa’s tone and expertise
- Adding service-specific context for each category
- Incorporating SEO best practices naturally into the content
- Ensuring cultural appropriateness for each language (visa processes explained differently for Turkish vs. Farsi audiences)
Image Integration
Added automated image generation and selection based on article topics. Each article gets relevant hero images automatically sourced and properly formatted for WordPress.
Error Handling & Edge Cases
Built in safeguards for:
- API rate limits
- Failed language generation (retry logic)
- Duplicate content detection
- Malformed WordPress responses
Technical Implementation
Workflow Architecture
The system consists of one main workflow with 15+ nodes handling the entire process:
1. Telegram Trigger
User sends a message selecting the service category. The bot presents options like:
- Student Visa (F-1)
- Immigration Services
- University Admissions
- Interview Preparation
- etc.
2. Content Generation Engine
Once the category is selected, the workflow:
- Pulls relevant context about that service from One Key Visa’s knowledge base
- Generates original article content in English first (master version)
- Translates and culturally adapts for Farsi
- Translates and culturally adapts for Turkish
3. WordPress API Integration
Here’s where Polylang knowledge became critical. For each language version:
- Creates the post as a draft in WordPress
- Applies proper language metadata
- Links all three language versions together (so the language switcher works on the site)
- Maintains English slugs even for non-English content
- Assigns proper categories and tags
4. Image Handling
- Generates or sources relevant images based on article topic
- Uploads to WordPress media library
- Sets as featured image for all language versions
5. Confirmation & Monitoring
- Sends confirmation message back to Telegram with draft links
- Logs the process for monitoring
- Alerts if any step fails
Integration Stack

Used extensively for post creation, media uploads, and category management. The key was understanding WordPress’s specific requirements for authenticated requests and proper data formatting.

Results & Impact
Time Savings
From hours to 7 minutes. That’s the transformation. What used to require:
- 1-2 hours writing the English version
- 1 hour translating to Farsi
- 1 hour translating to Turkish
- 30 minutes finding and formatting images
- 30 minutes formatting and publishing on WordPress
Total: 4-5 hours per article
Now takes 7 minutes for all three language versions, complete with images, ready for review.
Cost Efficiency
If we calculate this conservatively:
- Previous manual process: 4 hours per article
- Target publishing rate: 3 articles per week
- Weekly time savings: 12 hours
- Monthly time savings: 48 hours
At a reasonable operational cost of $25-30/hour, that’s:
- Monthly savings: $1,200 - $1,440
- Annual savings: $14,400 - $17,280
And that’s just the direct time savings. The real value? The team can now maintain a consistent publishing schedule without sacrificing client consultation time.
Content Output
The automation enables:
- Consistent multilingual presence across English, Farsi, and Turkish audiences
- SEO-optimized content regularly published for better search visibility
- Scalable content production that can ramp up or down as needed
- Zero language inconsistencies across translated versions
Key Learnings
Technical Insights
Documentation first, always. This project reinforced that spending time upfront reading API documentation prevents hours of debugging later. Polylang’s specific requirements for language linking would have been impossible to figure out through trial and error.
RTL is more than just text direction. Working with Farsi taught me that proper multilingual support goes beyond translation. Character encoding, text direction, slug handling, and cultural context all matter.
Draft workflows maintain quality. The temptation with automation is to go fully hands-off. But building in a review step meant the client got the efficiency of automation with the quality control of human oversight.
Industry Insights
Visa consultation is deeply educational. The visa application process is complex and requires extensive guidance. One Key Visa’s content needs to educate while also building trust. Generic content wouldn’t cut it, the automation needed to generate genuinely helpful, specific guidance.
Multilingual markets need cultural adaptation, not just translation. A direct translation from English to Farsi or Turkish misses cultural nuances. The way you explain visa processes to a Turkish student vs. an Iranian student requires different framing, examples, and emphasis points.
Personal connection to the work. This project was especially meaningful for me because I previously worked in the aupair industry, which also involves visa processes, cultural transitions, and helping people navigate international opportunities. Understanding the emotional weight of these decisions leaving home, pursuing education abroad, navigating complex bureaucracies made the automation more than just a technical project. It’s about helping people achieve their dreams more efficiently.
