How to use this tool

Clean margins and scanner borders before sharing

Cropping helps remove empty edges, bad scanner frames, or layout noise from a PDF. It is useful before exporting pages as images, compressing a document, or sending a cleaner copy.

Best for

  • Removing scanner borders
  • Cleaning exported reports with extra margins
  • Preparing pages for clearer sharing or printing

Privacy and limits

  • The original file stays unchanged until you download a new copy
  • Cropping can hide content if the crop box is too tight
  • Large multi-page PDFs may take longer to preview

PDF tool FAQ

Does cropping delete content permanently?

The downloaded copy uses the crop you apply. Keep the original file if you may need the hidden content later.

Can I crop all pages the same way?

Use a consistent crop when every page has the same margins. Mixed scans may need separate cleanup in a dedicated editor.

Can I undo a crop after download?

Not inside the exported copy. Reopen the original PDF and apply a different crop if you need to change it.
